Dr. Mikkel Venborg Pedersen

Mikkel Venborg Pedersen is senior researcher and curator at the National Museum of Denmark.
Venborg is trained as an ethnologist from University of Copenhagen, and Ludwig-Maximillian-Universität, München, Germany and Rice University, Houston, Texas. His PhD thesis was on the topic of Manifestations of Aristocracy in the Duchy of Augustenborg 1700-1850. He is the author of numerous scholarly works on Danish manor houses, elite culture, court organization and the cultural history of sleeping.
Within the Fashioning the Early Modern research project, Dr. Mikkel Venborg Pedersen will focus on consumption history, in particular within the framework of colonial history.
