Current Research in Textile Archaeology along the Nile

We invite young scholars and researchers to discuss current research in textile archaeology along the Nile, from Alexandria to Khartoum. We welcome papers highlighting textiles and textile production in their archaeological context, paper following the chaîne opératoire from fibres to cloth, or on use and economic perspectives.

The seminar will be streamed online to ensure that it reaches its potential audience and that researchers who are unable to attend can still join the discussion later on. Please note that all presenters need to secure permission for online diffusion of any photos and/or drawings.
