11.00 - 12.00  Tour of the Renaissance exhibition, focusing on the displayed clothing
                      and footwear, led by Maj Ringgaard and Vivi Lena Andersen

12.00 - 13.00  Lunch at the National Museum. Trip to Museum of Copenhagen

13.30 - 14.00  Tour of The Past Beneath our Feet exhibition, focusing on the displayed
                     clothing and footwear
14.00 - 15.00  How do we look at archaeological objects? By Vivi Lena Andersen
14.15 - 15.00  Charlotte Rimstad and Vivi Lena Andersen will present parts of the
                     collection of textiles and leather from archaeological excavations in
                     Copenhagen

15.00 - 15.30  Coffee and tea at the Tante T café in the museum

15.30 - 16.30  Hands on workshop by shoemaker Kenneth Elsgaard (the old craft,
                     reconstructing a shoe and the making of a tarred and waxed thread of
                     flax for sewing with pigs bristles)
16.30 - 17.00  Presentation by Alice Dolan: ‘From Seed to Cloth: Making a Sheet in
                     Eighteenth-Century Britain’

17.00 - 17.30  Sum up and discussion

                     Presentation of textiles and footwear by Maj Ringgaard

14.30 - 15.15  Plenary talk by John Styles: ‘What was cotton in eighteenth-century
                     Britain?’
