Two researchers from CTR have recently participated in a workshop at Oxford university

Two of CTR's Marie Sklodowska Curie fellows have recently joined the Classical Art Research Center at Oxford to discuss ancient textiles as and in art. Dr. Audrey Gouy presented figure-decorated textiles in Etruscan art, while Dr. Elsa Yvanez explored the art, iconography and craftsmanship of Late Antique Nubian textiles. Other participants covered a wide range of textile topics, from Classical Greece to Central Asia, through iconography and archaeological research.
