Festschrift for Eva Andersson Strand
Friday 13 September we held a surprise reception for Professor Eva Andersson Strand, head of centre at CTR.
In the reception Eva’s biggest surprise was that numerous of her colleagues had worked on a Festschrift in her honour, with the title The Common Thread: Collected Essays in Honour of Eva Andersson Strand – the same title of her Ph.D. Thesis.
We had appr. 50 colleagues at the reception, from former colleagues at Lund University, former Marie Curie fellows to present and former colleagues at CTR. The Festschrift covers a wide range of topics concerning the study of textile craft, tools, traditions and symbols, both through time and academic fields. It holds 23 articles from former and present colleagues at CTR and the SAXO-Institute, and holds a high academic level of the study of textiles. The many contributors also meant new exiting and innovative collaborations.
The volume was edited by Ulla Mannering, Marie-Louise Nosch and Anne Drewsen. The publication is available in Open Access for everyone to enjoy!
