Textiles and Dress in Antiquity

Interdisciplinary Studies in Textiles and Dress in Antiquity

The research program Textile Economies in the Mediterranean Area (TEMA) has decided to
launch an anthology on the above topic.
Recently, a lot of exciting research on textiles and dress in antiquity is taking place in museums and universities, especially combining different disciplines. We would like to highlight this research, which can serve as a model for future directions both in terms of research, teaching and outreach.

We especially welcome contributions which combine different disciplines and methodologies.
The volume will be peer-reviewed.

Please, send us an abstract and a preliminary title (500 words) by March 1st to all the email
addresses below; we will give you a feedback by March 10th. Full manuscripts should be sent in spring 2012.

Since we would like to publish the book in early 2013, we would need your contribution (if
accepted) in late spring-early summer – we hope for your understanding.
We look forward to hearing for you and to working with you on this exciting collaboration!

Best wishes
