Laila Glienke, MA student, The Danish School of Education / University of Copenhagen


Laila Glienke is currently writing her masters thesis in Educational Theory and Curriculum Studies: Material Culture, which is interdisciplinary research area on materiality, learning, gender and establishment. As a freelance bachelor in Textile Handicraft and Education, Glienke has extensive experience in embroidery and stitching (white work) from the Hedebo region at historical museums.
She is educated economist, pattern cutter and bachelor in Textile Handicraft and Education and works with textiles in the past and present, copy of historical suits, various educational work of historical museums with activities for children, adolescents, adults and elderly. For the project Glienke will be studying embroidery fashion, target groups and production from 1500-1800.
