Egyptian TUNICS dataset

This dataset of Egyptian tunics and tunics fragments was created in the framework of the TUNICS project. This project, entitled ‘The expression of cultural cross-fertilization in Egyptian clothing of the 7th-10th centuries AD’, has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie grant agreement n° 844179.

 
The TUNICS project was conducted by Anne Kwaspen and was hosted by the Centre for Textile Research (CTR), Saxo Institute, UCPH, Denmark 2019-2021.

For the TUNICS project a selection of 280 tunics and tunic fragments from eight European collections were analysed with regard to their general features and technical aspects of weaving.
